Created at ‘mobile messor’ (Amsterdam), fall-winter 2010:
(1) On September 2009, several days and nights of continuous recordings of live streaming from PALAOA (PerenniAL Acoustic Observatory in the Antarctic Ocean), a permanent underwater array of hydrophones under a 100-meter thick ice sheet on the Ekström ice shelf in Antarctica (transmitting live since December 2005):

[Predominant sounds in the streaming are Weddell seals (whistling, electronic-like glissandos, falling chirps, trills and sweeping sounds) and cracking/colliding ice masses.]
(2) Subjective aesthetic selection of approx. 15-minute to 1-hour segments. Surgical editing of major transmission errors, cuts in communication and distortion. Seamless integration into a single, 3-hour audio file.
(3) Creation of eight variations of the same file/environment exclusively through detailed and sequential filtering/EQ.
