OMENYA is Mark Davis, a multi-media artist and ritual noise/ambient musician who originally resided in a remote part of the North Carolina mountains in the USA (now residing in California). Heavily influenced by early Zoviet France and then later Rapoon, his music also reflects and incorporates his interest in the esoteric rituals and ceremonies of various world religions. All of the music of Omenya is created and produced from Delicate Balance studios.
Solumenata are WYRM co-founders Liz Lang (aka Auracene) and Allan Zane with the addition of PBK for their debut LP. Solumenata have embarked on a new musical journey--taking them out of the darkness and into a light that is almost bone-bleaching.
Six months even before the release of the farewell WYRM CD, Solumenata debuted with their first LP Aeriform on the Russian SEALT label in the Summer of 2011. In less than three months, the LP sold out.
Zane, Davis and Lang have been old friends and associates since long before any of them have produced works in a public realm. In 2014, Zane and Davis became reacquainted and immediately embarked on their first ever collaborations--despite having known one another for so long. One result of their collaborations has spawned into a new project--33blackLP.
33blackLP have produced two CDs and one 7-inch single so far.
Solumenata have been somewhat inactive in recent years--with their second album surfacing in 2015. Solumenata have just completed a third album that is awaiting release. Now, Solumenata returns with a proper collaboration with Omenya after their lengthy hiatus. In the development phase of this collaboration, Zane felt that the music being produced would benefit from expansion by incorporating his visual arts and video post-production techniques into the work. Allan Zane's imagery have given way to 'Abstracted Second Sight'.
